It’s a beautiful Tuesday evening and to get things started we have this brand new record from Laura Jean Anderson titled ‘Thinkin Bout You’. We love this track for several reasons, the instrumentation is light and minimalistic and doesn’t take up all of your attention. The atmosphere of the pads creates a warm energy that we felt was soothing and relaxing and places a clear emphasis on the vocal performance, the vocals add an intimate touch and the lyricism is rich with imagery, pay attention as you listen along.
There’s a healthy balance between the instrumentation and the vocal style and that’s what makes this record so special and perfect synergy. If you’re a fan of indie pop, you’re going to love this.
