young saab x deem spencer x torii wolf – shoulda coulda woulda

Young Saab is Eric and Jon, best friends from Brooklyn who have always talked about and listened tonmusic together, but had never made music together. In 2020 they decided to try. The first song they wrote, face-to-face-to-face with their Brooklyn neighbor Chloe Lilac, was “but I love you.” The plan for the project had been to work with their favorite NYC artists and write songs that way, channeling the energy of the city into everything they did. Then Covid hit. Locked at home, Eric spent nights listening to Spotify, hitting up the artists he loved over DM. Collaborations started coming together that way, beats were passed around, songs sung and lyrics written over Zoom. And rather than feeling like a limitation, the process of collaborating from afar opened the floodgates of creativity.

We’re excited to share the latest from young saab, deem spencer, and torii wolf. Titled ‘shoulda coulda woulda’, the new single bridges Lo-fi Hip-Hop, Lo-fi Pop, and electronic influences together to bring a unique and tasteful experience from start to finish. The production is clean and the verses pop off as each artist brings a unique perspective to the track that we seem to appreciate more and more with every listen.
