The Sedonas – Til I Say Amen

Their music revolves around a mixture of various Rock and Americana roots. Their sound: organic and pure. They are The Sedonas out of Knoxville, Tennessee. The Sedonas have toured parts of North America playing locations such as The Masquerade, The Basement, Rhythm N’ Blooms Music Festival, The International, Acme Feed & Seed and many other nationally recognized venues (opening for well known acts such as The Wrecks, The Aces, The Georgia Flood, Sun Seeker and more that can be found at thesedonas.com/tour). They have also toured with the son of Michael McDonald and are playing at such other places this spring and summer as The Nick, Isis Music Hall, The Radio Room and the Secret City Festival. The band features songwriter and vocalist James Connor Wike, bassist and background vocalist Jon Augustus, Ryan Sise covering rhythm and lead guitar and Casey Green on drums and percussion.

The song, “’Til I Say Amen,” describes one’s dissatisfaction with certain aspects of following faith, and the motivation that sometimes you have to live life in a world without limitations. The album this track comes off of, “American Paint,” was recorded and mixed at Nashville’s most unique studio, PlethoraTone.

The singer has a rather dynamic voice and it has a strong vocal projection. The song is not overly complex. The chorus is impressive, the pitch range varies, making it rich and engaging for me. The song definitely is professional and creative. I find it extremely good and the singer has talent.
