Kiss Harder is the final single from my sophomore EP, Fire Escaping, out on Sleep Well Records (a label run by the artist pronoun) March 6. The song lyrics were written unexpectedly and were the catalyst for realizing a relationship I was in was probably not going to work out. I was super inspired by Madonna’s album True Blue when I worked on the production for this song while doing a writer residency at a studio in Portland, Oregon.
We really love this new track from Sulene. If you’re a fan of electro pop and catchy production, ‘Kiss Harder’ is right up your alley. Sulene has a unique flavor and a wide range of skills that in our opinion, allow the artist to stand out amongst a very large crowd of artists who blatantly copy and rip each other off.
The artist’s ability to be honest and genuine with her work is something that goes unnoticed and we can’t wait to see what’s around the corner for her.
