StanLei (‘stan-lay’) is a singer songwriter producer based in Toulouse (FR). After a childhood of cello lessons and a decade soaking in the rich scene of her adopted hometown, Bristol (UK), where she sang and played in several local bands, she spent years travelling worldwide as a nomadic seasonal worker before buying studio gear and starting to create her debut album (April 2021). Her sound has been described as Portishead meets Tank Girl.
The incredibly talented and always graceful StanLei, released a beautiful new record two weeks ago and upon hearing it for the first time, we immediately fell in love, titled ‘L(I)VE MODE [Soldier]’. StanLei has this special aura around her music and her writing style. It stems from a genuine and gentle place and as she continues to grow as an artist, we fall more in love with her magic and her presence.
