Grizzly Coast is the musical project of Toronto based indie-rock musician Alannah Kavanagh. Her interest in writing, mixed with her lifelong affinity for playing music led her to blend the two mediums on her stand-alone singles, Half-Light Boy and Zuzu’s Petals.
When it comes to original writing style, Grizzly Coast’s latest is an honest reflection of just that. Titled ‘End of the Night’, we love the instrumentation. The entire soundscape from start to finish feels a bit like a dream. And of course, the vocal style is incredible. The lyrical depth behind Grizzly Coast’s writing is powerful, it’s deep, it’s moving, but at its core, and it comes from a genuine place.
