“I originally wrote the chorus to “Rise Again” back in Jan of 2019 after being enraged by the rampant corruption I saw taking place in our government and culture. Leaders constantly prioritizing greed over people’s lives and basic human rights. I was shocked by the inequality and blatant racist rhetoric being upheld by men entrusted to lead and protect. I guess I truly believed the world was going backwards, and there was a need for justice and people of character to rise again.”
This new Fan Fiqtion and Lauren Light record really hit the sweet spot for us. The way the two artists complement each others style is something that definitely goes unnoticed and to be honest, we would love to hear more from the two down the road.
