One of our latest obsessions come from the incredible d.c.R. Pollock. Titled ‘Cold Bath’, we were immediately drawn in by the warm production style and the slow rhythmic energy from the drums.
“This song was originally one of about 40 songs written for a full length record coming up, but didn’t end up making the final cut. I loved the song but didn’t have the funds to take it to a studio, so I just sat on a demo of it for about a year”. -d.c.R. Pollock
d.c.R. Pollock delivers a jaw-dropping vocal performance and provides a deep level of imagery with his lyricism and unique vocal style, also provides an important contrast to the record with his raw energy and creative word play when delivering his verses.
We’ve been enjoying the artist vocal style and we can only hope to hear future work from of Pollock in the near future. But until then, I suppose we’ll keep ‘Cold Bath’ on repeat.
