“Things” follows the stunning debut single “Calls” which saw Houston receive praise from Zane Lowe, NPR, SPIN Magazine, and land on Spotify’s global New Music Friday playlist.

It’s almost the weekend and what better way to kick things off than with this brand new single from Charlie Houston. Titled ‘Things’, the upbeat electro pop record is like a breath of fresh air. It’s vibrant and catchy and we love the psychedelic influence and dream-like vocals. All-in-all, if this track doesn’t make you feel great, something might be off.

“I just did things ’cause you did them. / Didn’t really want to, I’m just trying to get to you,” sings 20-year old Charlie Houston reflecting on her youthful insecurities and unrequited affection with raw vulnerability. “The song is sort of about becoming so infatuated with someone that you begin to lose sight of who you are,” says Houston of the downtempo indie track. “Also comparing yourself to the kind of person you think they want, and trying to become that.”
