British born singer-songwriter Lula Mills is one of the most anticipated rising artists emerging from the UK music scene. With support from Red Bull, Sofa Sounds and a growing network of fans from gigging the London circuit, she is definitely one to watch.
I am not Ok is the second single from her debut EP – “I am not Ok”. With stripped back production, the vocals and lyrics speak for themselves.
This song is really amazing, Mills amazed us with this wonderful performance, from the first moments of the song you feel the voice in your soul, this will make you repeat the song again and again.. The melody is strong and tuneful. The singer has an attractive vocal tone, and puts real feeling into the lyrics. The lyrics are interesting and meaningful with some punchy phrases. Instrumentally, the song has a rich, full accompaniment that complements the vocal track perfectly. Great guitar solo too, although I think a grittier tone would suit the dark mood of the song better. This voice is peace of magic.
