Mehdi Bahmad is a Moroccan-born Canadian-raised independent alt-pop singer-songwriter. Before moving to Montreal at the age of 8, Mehdi and his family lived in Morocco and South of France. Through his music, he explores and expresses the rich and distinctive union between his oriental origins and his Canadian up-bringing.
Mehdi recorded this Kylie Minogue cover with the L.A. based producer Daniel James Smith (T.O.L.D.) He brought his warm and dramatic dark electro-pop vibe to the song, integrating synths and cello.
The cover carries a very unique and original sounding vocal style, it’s catchy, and it’s wildly addictive. His bubbly personality is soaked in a dark and vibrant energy throughout the instrumental that not only demands your attention but will have you listening over and over again.
