Chance Emerson is a 19-year-old Taiwanese-American singer-songwriter from Hong Kong. In 2017, Emerson posted his self-produced EP, recorded in his high school music building’s attic, to his Facebook and Instagram. The word spread, local radio got on board, the EP ascended the iTunes charts, and over the past couple of years, songs from the “The Indigo Tapes” have racked up nearly a million Spotify plays. They speak to the most relatable aspects of the human condition in a manner that is empathic and worldly.
Maybe we’re in a mood this morning but this new release from Chance Emerson hits home for us. Not only did we love the vocal performance throughout the track, but to be honest with you guys, Chance Emerson has a way of expressing his emotions with rich lyrics that not only feel relatable but honest and real.
Regardless of your music taste, Emerson brings music that’s meaningful and original, but through its intimacy, it remains relatable and honest. Check it out for yourself and let us know what you think.
